Since graduating from Sarah Lawrence, Wendy worked in public relations in New York and San Francisco, representing independent film companies and theater in the Bay Area,  while freelance reporting. She began working at Curtco Publishing and eMap Peterson in Los Angeles, as a staff editor and writer, predicting in 1999 the transformative effects that digital technology would have on entertainment and media in the coming century. She continued writing for a tech think tank, evolving into visual communication, first in print and interactive design for events and industry reports, before finally working full time as a photographer beginning in 2003. 
Specializing in fashion, product and celebrity portraiture, Wendy produced images for print catalogs, editorial clients and e-commerce. Her celebrity portraiture included the first professional shoot of Nicole Richie, and she has worked with Taryn Manning of Orange is The New Black, Krysten Ritter of Breaking Bad and Jessica Jones, and Wes Bentley of Yellowstone among others. Her work has been published in People, USA Today, Maxim, 944, and Calabasas magazine as well as  online for other publications.
